KKDIK compliant SDS from 1st January 2024
Attention to all companies placing chemical substances on the Turkish market!
While the Turkey KKDIK registration deadline has been extended to 2026, 2028 and 2030 based on substances classification and annual volumes, it is crucial to note that the deadline for compliant KKDIK Safety Data Sheets ( SDSs) remain unchanged.
The cutoff date of December 31, 2023, still stands for companies to ensure their SDSs are compliant with KKDIK regulation. This means that from 1st of January 2024 all new SDSs will need to be prepared under KKDIK.
Do you have SDSs prepared under GBF regulation prior to the deadline?
If yes, these SDSs can continued being placed on the Turkish market. However, if updates to these SDSs are required then the new updated SDSs must be prepared meeting the requirements of KKDIK.
Who can prepare a KKDIK compliant SDS?
Only a certified chemical assessment specialist is authorized to author and certify compliant KKDIK SDSs.
