India BIS Updates July 26, 2024

As per the Gazette Notification no. CG-DL-E- 26072024-255761 dated 26th July 2024, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers (Department of Chemicals & Petro Chemicals) has again amended the Ortho Phosphoric Acid (Quality Control) Order, 2021. The order will now be called as the Ortho Phosphoric Acid (Quality Control) Second Amendment Order, 2024 and shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette which is 26th July 2024.

The amendment includes addition of the following proviso in Ortho Phosphoric Acid (Quality Control) Order, 2021, after the table:

“Provided that, nothing in this Order shall apply to the Ortho Phosphoric Acid when used as raw material in production of fertilizers”.
