India BIS Update on Four Quality Control Orders

Govt. of India has notified the following Quality Control Orders making it mandatory for both domestic and international manufacturers to comply with the relevant Indian Standards in order to display the Standard Mark, which is to be obtained through a license from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), in accordance with Scheme-I detailed in Schedule-II of the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018. The use of the Standard Mark will be regulated by the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016, and its associated Rules and Regulations. The Bureau of Indian Standards will act as the certifying and enforcing authority.
