KKDIK Provisional and Full Registration Deadlines – Explained
Many companies affected by KKDIK registration still do not realize the following:
The 30 September 2026 provisional registration deadline is not limited to high-volume or hazardous substances. It applies to all substances placed on the market at ≥ 1 ton/year, regardless of classification or annual tonnage band, unless the substance is specifically exempted from KKDIK registration.
For many registrants, actions that were expected years from now have suddenly become a September priority!

Past KKDIK Deadlines
- 31 October 2025: Deadline for Pre-registration
- Please note that pre-registration for first-time imported substances is still possible.
- 31 March 2026: Deadline for Provisional Lead Registration
- This deadline was extended to 30 September 2026.
Upcoming Deadlines:
- 3o September 2026: Deadline for Provisional Registration of all types
- Provisional registrations may be submitted as a lead, member or individual provisional registration.
Full KKDIK Registration Deadlines
- 31 December 2026 applicable to:
- Substances at > 1000 t/a
- Substances classified as Aquatic Acute 1 or Aquatic Chronic 1 (H400, H410) at > 100 t/a
- CMR substances (Categories 1A and 1B) at > 1 t/a
- 31 December 2028 applicable to:
- Substances at 100–1000 t/a
- 31 December 2030 applicable to:
- Substances at 1 – 100 t/a
