Microplastics reporting to ECHA is no longer optional. And the clock is already running!

Under EU REACH Annex XVII, Entry 78, companies that manufacture, use or supply synthetic polymer microparticles (SPM) now have to estimate and report their emissions to ECHA every year.

Next date in focus: 31 May 2027 — First reports (covering 2026 emissions) are due for all other manufacturers, downstream users and suppliers.

The hard part isn’t the deadline. It’s getting the scope right, estimating emissions defensibly, and building a IUCLID dossier that holds up when it’s submitted through REACH-IT.

To help out, we are offering a free 30-minute diagnostic with our Head of Public Affairs, Julien de Cruz. Tell us a bit about your operations, and you will walk away with a plan.

No obligation; Just clarity before the deadline decides for you.
