UA-REACH & CLP – Draft Extensions to Key Deadlines Published

On 22nd of October 2025, the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine (MEEA) published a draft resolution introducing extensions to several key deadlines under UA-REACH and UA-CLP. This follows the earlier government decision to reorganize several ministries, under which Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine (MEPR) will be dissolved and its functions transferred to the newly re-named Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine (MEEA).

As noted in our previous update, all activities under UA-REACH and UA-CLP will continue under the new ministry and remain a priority in Ukraine’s chemical regulation system. Pre-registrations, notifications, and registrations are not being cancelled – the changes only concern timelines for compliance.

What This Means for Your Company
  • Pre-registrations and CLP notifications will continue under the new ministry. The pre-registrations are extended for one year, while the CLP notifications are for six months.
  • Full registration deadlines will be postponed significantly, giving companies more time to prepare.
  • The draft resolution has not yet been formally adopted and public consultation is ongoing.
