Suzhou MOCA authorisation – Updates
Important update for downstream users of MOCA relying on the Authorisation application submitted by REACHLaw acting as Only Representative for SUZHOU XIANGYUAN NEW MATERIALS CO., LTD.
We have recently learnt that the pending application is likely to be refused by the European Commission in 2023. However, as the criteria for “intermediate use” have been clarified by a ruling by the European Court of Justice, use of MOCA in the manufacture of polyurethanes may fulfil the criteria meaning that authorisation for this use is not required.
See the updated information on the MOCA authorisation page for details on how to determine if your use fulfils the three criteria for “intermediate use”
