Latest Set of GB MCL Technical Reports Now Published by the HSE
The latest set of Great Britain (GB) Mandatory Classification and Labelling (MCL) technical reports has been published by the HSE.
This release evaluates 291 substances, with each report providing an independent scientific assessment to determine whether a new or revised GB MCL is warranted. The evaluations are based on data submitted through the stand-alone GB MCL process or the EU harmonised classification and labelling process.
The recently published GB MCL report includes substances for which the Committee for Risk Assessment (RAC) issued an EU CLP Opinion in 2025. The scientific information supporting those opinions is evaluated under the GB MCL system.
Important note: As of publication (15 January 2026), the proposed classification and labelling proposed in this report has not yet been agreed or adopted in Great Britain.
