KKDIK Updates: Implications for companies
The Turkish authorities have extended the KKDIK registration deadlines, giving companies more time to comply with the KKDIK regulation requirements. The extended deadlines are as follows:
- 31 December 2026: For substances >1,000 tonnes/year, Aquatic Acute 1 and Aquatic Chronic 1 substances (H400, H410) at ≥100 t/y, and CMR substances (Category 1A and 1B) at ≥1 t/y.
- 31 December 2028: For substances at 100-1,000 t/y.
- 31 December 2030: For substances at 1-100 t/y.
This extension is seen as a positive move by industry stakeholders, providing additional time to organize and complete necessary registrations. However, companies are expected to use this time efficiently and start the joint registration process promptly to avoid disruptions in their supply chain and ensure their market access to Turkey.
For a more detailed analysis of these changes and their implications for companies placing chemical substances on the Turkish market, we invite you to read the full article on Turkey KKDIK written by our colleague Frederik Johanson.
