Preparing for potential polymers registration in the EU

8th of June 2023
Join us!

Polymers are currently exempt from EU REACH Registration, but this could soon change. The European Commission is actively working on a proposal for polymer notification and registration, including the information requirements and timelines.

The chemical industry and stakeholders are eagerly awaiting the delayed REACH Revision proposal, expected to be published by the end of 2023, which is likely to contain basic provisions for polymer notification and registration. However, it is uncertain whether the details regarding the information that registrants should deliver during the registration phase will be included in this year’s proposal.

Given that there are approximately 200,000 polymers on the EU market that might be affected by this requirement, it is likely that the Commission will require polymers to be registered in groups to manage the process. With this in mind, we invite all companies that manufacture, import or place polymers on the EU market to participate in our upcoming webinar on the 8th of June.

Our informative session will give you a general overview of the current status of eventual notification and registration requirements for polymers, actors affected, and the various scenarios being discussed by the EU Commission, ECHA and relevant stakeholders on the process. You will also receive valuable advice on how to prepare for eventual polymer registration requirements.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to stay informed on upcoming changes that may impact your business. Join us on the 8th of June for our webinar on polymers registration.
