For Indian manufacturers, formulators and exporters!
This webinar is designed specifically for Indian manufacturers, formulators, and exporters who want a clear, practical understanding of UK REACH obligations, timelines, costs, and future direction.
Background
The United Kingdom is an important and growing export market for Indian chemical manufacturers and formulators. Following Brexit, UK REACH now applies separately from EU REACH, creating both new compliance requirements and new strategic choices for non-UK companies.
Many Indian companies are currently unclear about:
- The difference between DUIN and NRES
- Whether UK REACH registration will become similar to EU REACH in the future
- Whether the UK will move towards a simpler model (ATRm) with reduced data and cost
- Which regulatory route makes commercial sense for accessing the UK market
At the same time, the UK Government is actively reforming UK REACH to reduce regulatory burden while maintaining protection of human health and the environment. This has already resulted in:
- Extended UK REACH registration deadlines (27 October 2029, 27 October 2030 & 27 October 2031)
- Ongoing work on the Alternative Transitional Registration Model (ATRm)
In parallel, the UK–India Free Trade Agreement (FTA) discussions highlight the UK’s interest in increasing trade with India, including chemicals, making this the right time for Indian exporters to plan their UK market entry strategy carefully.
