The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has announced targeted campaigns to promote compliance with the obligation to keep REACH registration dossiers up to date. Registrants are required to update their dossiers without undue delay whenever new or revised information becomes available.
ECHA has indicated that it will directly contact concerned registrants and request updates within specified timelines, particularly in cases involving:
- Changes in lead registrant within joint submissions, and
- Registrations that do not comply with EU-wide harmonised classification under the CLP Regulation.
Keeping dossiers up to date is essential to maintain interrupted EU market access and to respond effectively to regulatory or customer queries.
