With the publication of the “Procedures and Principles regarding the Implementation of the Regulation on the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (KKDIK)” (hereinafter “Procedures and Principles”), the KKDIK registration process has been thoroughly rebooted. Besides the introduction of a Pre-Registration deadline – October 31, 2025 – especially the Lead Registration work has been impacted with additional requirements and tight deadlines.
For example, a Lead Registrant needs to be selected for all substances already on the Turkish market by December 31, 2025. For substances placed on the Turkish market for the first time after August 12th, 2025, a Lead Registrant must be selected within 6 months. This means, that for the bulk of substances on the Turkish market, the fall, leading up to the end of the year (2025), will be very busy for aspiring Lead Registrants.
